The physical CD comes in a beautyful 6-sided Digifile (no plastic tray) with inside-out effect, which provides a classy matte effect, because it's printed on the rough side of the paper. All artworks based on photography by Roman Leykam and layout and design by the artists.

Levitation is the second album by Frank Meyer (aka Darage Bang) and Roman Leykam and the 23rd release via the German independent music label FRANK MARK ARTS (FMA). Both being ambient, experimental and avant-garde musicians and producers, Meyer and Leykam have a long-term artistic relationship, which developed from graphic design collaborations for FMA, over the first music project on the album Primal Ocean, to the actual album.
Levitation features 12 tracks, covering a versatile range of calm and meditative, sometimes dense and surprising, but always harmonic music with over one hour of total playtime. Based on guitar-synthesizer improvisations and guitar-treatments by Leykam, Meyer accompanied, remixed and arranged the final pieces. The music on Levitation is inspired by the exuberant plurality of the internet as well as by ethnic sounds and also by the heritage of the veterans of early electronic and synthesizer music.

---------- eclipsed Nr. 161 / Juni 2014:
"The Germans Frank Meyer and Roman Leykam produced their new coproduction "Levitation" completely on their own, from audio production and composition, to the playing of the instruments and the artwork, too. Both experimenting with their guitars and the electronic mangling of their sound, they create sounds hard to define, but also warm sounding guitar chords and melodies. Frank Meyer enhances the default soundscapes by Leykam with subtle loops and synth souds (e. g. in "Percolating Gnosis" or "Shrouded in Mystery"). This is the main difference to Leykams numerous solo releases and breathes more life into the 12 tracks. They don't stop with abstract and arhythmic soundscapes, instead melodies and rhythms are definitely identifiably – although in a very balanced and subtle way. Nevertheless this makes the total playing time of 61 minutes more intriguing. Especially the apparent retention – it never gets too loud or piercing – provides the charm of Levitation. This enables the listener to dive into a unique world of sound. Top track: Percolating Gnosis.
---------- DARK SPY No.59 / 03/2014 /Juni/Juli:
"Calm, meditative, rhythmic, harmonic, enjoyable ... one could continue to describe the second album by Frank Meyer and Roman Leykam only with adjectives. Initially I'm a bit sceptical about purely instrumental albums, but after the second or third track, I got adapted to it and let myself flow with the meditative stream, same with Levitation. A musically very sophistic work, for which one should take a break to enjoy it.
